OBJECTIVES OF THE ORGANISATION
a) To initiate pro-poor development programmes in rural communities with the direct involvement of the rural poor in identifying, planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluation of such programmes.
b) To help rural communities to profitably and sustainably use resources that are available to them to fight poverty at household level.
c) To support and supplement Government development programmes as laid down in the Poverty Eradication Action Plan (PEAP) which is Uganda’s Poverty Reduction Strategic Plan.
d) To conduct Action research that is aimed at contributing to influencing solutions to rural problems that impact on the abilities of the rural poor to effectively tackle poverty.
e) To build collaborations and partnerships with other organizations aimed at borrowing skills, knowledge and resources for related or similar problems aimed at supporting Uganda’s development and transformation process.
